It wont eat any of your coral, but it will eat anything that is smaller or about the same size as itself

All lion fish are reef safe but you have to watch out for shrimps, crabs, and smaller fish. Also most people have their hands in a reef tank a lot more than a fish only tank, so consider that also.

I have had a Fuzzy Dwarf for the last 3 years, no issues. Just can't keep ornamental shrimp. Fuzzy has not bothered my Mandarin, Solomon Island blue Damsel or Anthias.

I don't think I'd do it. It is a predator. It eats live fish and crustaceans.

I've had my Fu ManChu for well over 4 years and it died a couple of months ago and probably due to old age? He's the friendliest predator and he always have this knack of coming to me, begging for food!!

Picked him as a wild shipment and started "training" him to feed on live freshwater Ghost shrimps altho' not recommended for long term feeding (he loves it and so do I seeing it pounce on the confused shrimps ) then gradually target (hand) fed Mr. Fu soaked dried krills forever!

Here's a couple pictures of Mr. Fu and I missed him a lot ...

Isn't their spine poisonous? My hands are always in my tank.
they are and to if you are allergic to bee stings you may want to consider not putting one in your reef. but then again unless you are trying to pet your fish the odds of getting stung are slim.
