I’m new to the hobby and I want to purchase a dwarf zebra lionfish! Does anyone have any tips on how to train them to eat frozen food? Or if they can be housed with other predatory marine fish?

I haven't kept a zebra.

With the two fuzzy dwarfs that I owned, I had success training them to eat frozen. I started with a guppy or two to get them eating in qt. Then started with chunks of shrimp on a feeding stick. Eventually they would eat frozen Mysis, and then about any food I put in the tank.

As far as predatory tankmates, this can be sort of tricky. What other fishes were you thinking?

I've never had a Dwarf, but I did have a baby Volitan. We used to thread little pieces of shrimp on some fish line to get him to eat so he didn't get alarmed by the wooden skewer. It worked well for a while, but sadly he stopped responding to that trick and he ended up dyeing. I've always steered clear of fish that aren't all ready eating frozen food since than.

What fish are you wanting to keep with it?

Training to frozen isn’t hard, but it is best done in a solitary tank rather then the display. A stealth stick is a easy way to get them weaned over to frozen.
