Lionfish lovers thread

I haven't looked into this in a while but:

Are volitans mostly being collected from the Atlantic now because of their invasive status or are most of them still pacific in origin?
Probably. I got a Volitan by mistake, it was the fastest growing creature I've ever seen.

I was very proud of this guy the other day. He got 2 guppies in one gulp.

Always begging for what’s in our hands

I had a Volitan for like 6-7 months. It's the fastest growing animal I have ever seen. I've had several lionfish (dwarf and medium), and I agree that they are docile and don't compete for food, but the Volitan is an exception. I rehomed him and got an antenatta who is more suited for my aquarium.
