Lion's Zoa and Paly Collection

Incredible collection and pictures. What are you feeding if I may ask?

Incredible collection and pictures. What are you feeding if I may ask?
I used to feed fragments of Mysis shrimp to the Palys, then I fed Spectrum after seeing a thread where Miguel/Organism fed his zoas them, and now I feed Fauna Marine. The zoas don't really eat, but palys love to eat.

Thanks, some of my palys will eat mysis or thawed brine shrimp, might have to pick up some of the Fauna Marin pellets.

The fauna marine isn't really necessary, it's just what I feed to them now since I feed my LPS corals Fauna Marine and while I'm feeding them FM, might as well feed the zoas them too. The feeding response with Fauna Marine isn't as great as I hoped with zoas as a heads up before you put down the money on some pricey pellets, but they do eat it.

Thanks, I'll stick with what they're eating now then, my ricordea seem to be the picky ones and will only eat freshly thawed brine.

Well then. I think I have an official favorite for forever. I actually had to lower the lighting on the camera because the brightness would look so fake when it really isn't.

Are all of these on frag racks? Is this a display??? Im so confuzzled! That worm def looks like a bristle worm/tremor morph...

BTW... I am convinced that (if your CAO shines brighter than anything you've got) it's the same coloration as the Bowser.... I really dig your genetics!!! Do you collect the same polyps from different vendors?

I am guessing that was the frag you mentioned to me this morning.
That was one nice find. Care to frag me a polyp ;-)

You could be right on the money. It does resemble a bowser but can't tell 'till they open fully.

Amazing collection man looks like I have some catching up to do

Thanks for the comments guys. :)

I get my zoas from all over the place. Local fish stores, local reefers, and all over the web.

Beautiful!

I took a few of these from my recent FS thread, but they're still nice and might as well post! I had descriptions and it was fun, might as well add them here too!

Blue Agave:
The Blue Agave is a morph that comes from Hawaii. It's one of those morphs that is a must have for collectors, and the colors and patterns of the Blue Agave are what's been keeping them as a sought after morph for the past few years. One of my faves! But I do warn you, it's not for zoa noobies as Hawaiian morphs are finicky. Do your Hawaiian PE hw (or ask the Hawaiian PE master, SecretReefer!) before trying this one. I've had the colony for months before fragging, so hopefully I've hardied them up for your home as well.

Tropical Martini, a rainbow morph I named myself. :)
Tropical Martini:
A new rainbow morph! Feel that tropical breeze as you sip into this martini of... zoa? Haha! Just check out those colors, a great new rainbow morph for sure, and one that has held its color over the past few months. Check out that green and orange blend in the middle followed by an eye catching red ring that encompasses it all (that's my fav part of this rainbow!). I've only got another frag I gave to a friend, so grab this neat rainbow!

Nightcrawlers:
I'm not sure on who made the name for these since they look nothing like the Red and Blue X-men son of Mystique and Azazel, but that's their name! The appeal for these are the black striation on a metallic red center. They do get very long lashes in higher flow and are a great morph for beginners. An extremely underrated morph that's been in the hobby for some time!

Tequila Sunrise:
Meet the red headed sister of the Blonde Eye Blue B*/Blondie, aka: Tequila Sunrise. It's the same as the Blondie, sporting an orange skirt and beautiful blue eyes, I guess she just inherited the red head genes from her grandmother! An under appreciated morph.

Rainbow Pennies:
I have no idea how this could even remind you of a penny, let alone a rainbow one since it's teal and ruby, but that's the name! (Seriously, these names should at least be relevant to what they look like!) Ever wanted to keep the infamous JF Bloodshot but they always melted on you? Fear not, here is the Bloodshots' brother, back from bootcamp and 2x as hardy as his scrawny fragile Bloodshot brother! Get a similar look, without the heart breaks and half the price. (The Bloodshots still win the beauty pageant by far though )
