What do you mean?

You mean you have an AIO tank and it has a small sponge?

Fritiz Turbo Start

Seachem stability is not really designed as a startup bacteria it’s just to help balance the system when it’s already up and running.
If you wash the sponge in old tank water, when you do a water change, the bacteria will not die.
I would also recommend Fritz turbo start.

Dr. Tims is the one you can probably get locally, as Fritz needs to be refrigerated, but Fritz Turbo Start 900 is the best. You want Turbo Start 900, not Fritz 9. Not that 9 is bad, but Turbo Start is better.

I agree Fritz is excellent but you need to trust the store has stored it correctly, it’s meant to be kept at 45-55f or some will die off.

I wonder how this will hold up in my tank. I ordered some from CA to TX and it took 2-3 days in the worst heat wave to date here. I ordered a 4oz for a Reefer 250, so that's about 2:1 of what I need.

There is a blurb now on the bottle about "Although it is recommended to keep TurboStart refrigerated, it can withstand elevated temps for several days. Avoid extreme temperatures and keep refrigerated to ensure longest shelf life and viability."

I wonder if 110-120F temps qualify (maybe more, they sent via postal service)?

I could either also add a bottle of Fritz 9 or Dr Tims as those two don’t need to be refrigerated or you could just do an ammonia test , add 2ppm of ammonia (dr Tim’s) and see if it’s zero after 24 hours.

I dumped it in and added 5g from my Max Nano that's needed a water change for a week. I wrote Fritz on this, would be curious to their response.

Let's see what happens?
