I have my tank running for 3 months now. Reef saver rock live Fiji pink sand. I just added CUC of crabs after 1 month quarantine. I have noticed black string like worms all over my rocks only. It might be hard to ID them because it’s to early and they are still young like my tank. If someone can help me determine of what they are and what should I do. I don’t want to go to my LFS where they pray on new bees trying to sell me BS chemicals. Thank you all for your time and concerning help.

Are they mobile? Or stationary?

They could be the miniature brittle starfish.
I have tons of them and they are all in the rocks sometimes with just their arms sticking out looking for food.
The eggs might did hitchhike in with the CUC.
If they are they are good guys.

Can't tell from the picture, but one looks like it may have a "forked" tail. Could just be the angle of the photo. But if it is forked, they may be anchor worms. Not good those are parasites that will latch onto your fish.

What should I be looking for if they are bad. I know it’s to soon but I have gotten two different reply’s.

What do I do next. I also have my qt up and running waiting for fish. Should I start it all over again after the cuc or I can do I waiting period for them to die off.

I would wait and watch . If its a parasite they will die with no host.

Try for a better pic if theyre scavaging theyre probably not parasitic.
