Anyone know what these are? (the dark spots all over the plug) I noticed that if I squash the bag up against them they go flat and then scurry away.

Thanks, that's what I was expecting. Should I even put these frags in quarantine or trash them?

I can probably leave these in the bags floating overnight and dip them tomorrow afternoon, yeah?

Got a couple of zoas, xenia, gsp, and a small leather. I noticed a stomatella and a brittle sea star on two of the frags. You think I can pull them off before I dip or should I just nuke it all with fire?

I wouldn’t leave them over night. Leathers for sure can get rancid quick. And gsp, Xenia and even zoas are all coralmorphs and have similar properties to leathers with not being great in bags. At least ime. You don’t have any dip? A quick coral revive dip , then tank water, and then a few weeks in QT will be your best bet.

Cover the snail with super glue. Brittle stars are fine.

Negative, dropped by a guy's house on a whim and didn't pick up any Bayer at Menards today. They've only been bagged for 4-5 hours so far. I suppose I could throw them in another temporary tank and run it overnight to hold them, then dip tomorrow. Cover with super glue? I haven't heard of that yet

I see. Yea super glue works for lots of pests. If you can get it off the frag plug go for it, mine just usually don’t come off when I happen to get one lol.

Stomatella and brittle are ok. But sounds like this guy’s tank is infested. I’d hate to take frags from him. Hard to know what else may be hiding there. Definitely dip them or trash them.

Dont TRASH them they are living animals!! Geez it just flatworms...blow them off and put in qt until you get dip.

So limiting the number of places there could be eggs.

That block that is sitting on top of the plug. Push off with thumbs or with a pair of small pliers. Scrape the plug with new xacto knife or scalpel blade.

Replug with super glue and dip :)

Dipped them in Bayer and it massacred everything. They're clean as a whistle! Thanks for the help guys!
