I pulled one of the clams out he looked really bad. When I pulled him his foot looked frayed. The little one is holding on for dear life and is showing a little sign of improvement as he is closing some now.

Clams don't need fed, it's a myth.

I have had Peppermint shrimp pester clams to death in the past. I would suspect the shrimp.

+1 Fish Poo is all they require in the wild or is someone feeding the Reefs that i don,t know about......

I don't feed my clams either but his stock list is pretty small so thought maybe problem. I read somewhere in nature the ocean feeds about 1lb of food per 100gal/ day. Someones feeding em lol :D

Yeah, I don't have much of a bioload but I don't really want to test it. So, maybe a clam is not such a great idea for me.

May not be able to find a cause I know lots of people with perfectly good sps tanks will have clams die out of no where also.

Yep, it died...........and polluted the tank. I removed it from my 20 gallon before it died and put it in my 10 frag tank. Checked last night and my ammonia was .25 and nitrites were .5. So, I did a 50% water change and plan on checking it again tonight.
