When I got my tank it was plumbed this way for reactors (not sure if Jay did it or Josh). How is this intended to be used? I am wanting to put in a gfo and not sure if I should come off one of these as the inlet side of the reactor or if this is the outlet? If it is the outlet, do I just use a separate pump for the inlet? Any ideas?

Also, don't mind the mess just yet. Still getting everything the way I like it before I really tidy it up.

No those valve are water supply so you will connect from the valve to the inlet of the reactor then the outlet just run the hose to the sump

That is called a manifold. It is there to use as a single source for multiple reactors, chiller, etc. You should have a return pump that is rated strong enough to return water back to your tank and to have enough flow for any and all things you want to attach to the manifold. The point is to only have ONE pump to operate all the equipment necessary. You can run a separate pump just for the manifold as well though.

The water will enter the manifold from the pump and then you will attach flex hose from the manifold to the reactor. The output of the reactor will go back into the sump. For GFO, I would put the output hose in the return section and not in the skimmer section.

Thank you guys. That is what I though but just making sure. The only question I have about that then would be about the return. If I dump the return back into the sump wont it just cycle back through the reactor or am I over thinking it?
