Little help with Trachyphyllia please.

Hey guys I bought this trachy about a month ago and it had the dead spot where you can see brown in picture. Recently however it seems to be slowly losing more flesh in same area.

Tank is an Nuvo fusion 10g. Using ATO holding salinity at 1.022. I dose manually to keep calcium between 400-440 and kh is at 10. Nitrates as of last week were around 5. I feed fauna Marin lps and reef frenzy lps pellet twice a week. Ammonia and nitrite at 0.

Water is not 100% stable due to manual dosing so it does vary a little. Any ideas? Tank is BB with stock flow btw. Running chemipure.

Looks like a bacterial infection has found the injured. I would dip it IMO. I am not sure exactly what to dip it in so let's see what @Humblefish and @melypr1985 have to say.

I would try raising your salinity to at least 1.025

Will raise that today. It started at 25 but my ATO hose was a little low and would siphon a small amount of water every time it ran. I have fixed the issue but it did lower my salinity.

I would just try getting your salinity up first and see how it reacts

Super glue the skin down if it gets any worse.

lets see what other think but would not a iodine dip be in order if it is an affection?

I had a dead spot in the center of an acan colony with some weird algae taking root. A little dab of superglue stopped the receding and the algae...and the flesh is starting to grow back over it already. That looks like a pretty big hole though, so not sure glue would be enough. Hopefully others have better suggestions.

Check for a gall crab
I had one in one of my trachyphyllia also another member in here had one in theirs aswell
Not saying you have one but worth looking into
They live in a small hole under the flesh and slowly start making the flesh recede

That was a gross thread to read... makes me think of the show monsters inside me..
