Just got a new rock flower nem in the mail today! He settled in just fine and opened up immediately. So cute! The size of a quarter. I hope he grows big and strong!

Nice colors. It will expand a little over the next few days as it adapts to tank. Expect it to move a little also. I try to place them on a small rock si that as it moves, I can rotate the rock to keep it visible.

I had one attached to a live rock I got, that was transported, and left in a rubbermaid container with 75lbs of other rocks in tank water with no heater for about 24 hours..... it was smashed under various rocks, and then left in the container with no light or water for 2 more days after many of the rocks had already been added to a tank. I decided to go ahead and use all the rock, so I fished it out (still not knowing the anemone was on the rock) and threw it in the tank one day, and within a few days I noticed it on there...... looked like an old bandaid barely clinging onto the side of the rock..... and I wasn't even sure what it was, but thought about removing it and never did, instead opting to allow the clean-up crew a chance to take care of it.

Long story even longer..... it is now a very nice Rock-Flower Anemone that is about 4x the size it was in it's shriveled up state on the cold/dry rock. These things are pretty hardy......

That's incredible! It's good to hear they're hardy, since I am having a terrible experience with a bta I got... any pictures of your rock flower by chance? How fast do they grow?

They are so pretty, too bad they don't host fish.

Will try when I get home I’m no photographer like these other guys though

Bad picture as promised. I probably have 7-8 of various sizes. They just show up. This one had looked like a goner

I could absolutely be wrong but It does not look like a Rock Flower, I think that is a fuzzy mushroom due to all of the fuzzys on the disc. .

Do you have anymore photos?

I will get more pictures at home..... have another one I found that looks completely different, that I'm not sure what it is either.....

+1 on fuzzy mushroom - I agree
