Some shrimp will eat them, but when supply dries up, the shrimp perish unless you give more stars.
My back wall was all pink and purple, but now it's black again. These guys clean up mostly, but soon move to hundreds, if not thousands in a short period of time. Harlequin shrimp are a natural predator, but mentioned above, will need more stars for food.IMO chances of them harming zoas is very low. But you don't have to take my word for it, you can find many online resources concerning them. They love coralline algae. If now you have little or none then later get coralline algae these starfish will multiple much quicker, sometimes to annoyingly large numbers.
