Hi all, happy holidays!

I've had these things in my rocks for a while but they're so small it's hard to get a good pic.

Like like worms or arms of brittle stars, but they seemingly come right out of the rock in a number of places... No tubes or visible casing of any kind...

? Right in the middle of the pic below

So many crazy little life forms in our systems. I've got those in mine as well. Unfortunately I can't give you an ID on them, but they are harmless. So I'll be tagging along to hear any other responses.

I have these too. Not brittle stars, that was my first thought. They are def some kind of worms but I haven’t been able to figure out what kind.

Does it completely come out of the rock where you can see the whole body? Because it does look like a brittle star to me.
It looks like the legs of brittle stars, but they're always in groups or two or three, and there really isn't any visible sign of a hole or crevice. They appear to stick right off the rock face. This is pic is just one, there are a number of them in the area.

We have hundreds of brittle stars in our tank and see multiple in the same hole all the time.
Edit: it seems sometimes the starfish isn't whole and see some with just one leg and a tiny disk.
