Little white bugs

what the heck are these little white bugs that suddenly have appeared in my tank... I think they are actually eating the detritus. See attached picutre

copepods. very beneficial! keep doing what you’re doing. many (including me) will envy you!
Second! They are zooplankton that hitchhike on many forms of living substrates (ex. live rock) and sessile organisms, so they are hard to avoid in captivity. They will graze on algae and detritus, feed on phytoplankton, quickly breed, and serve as live food for larger organisms.

They also possess a single eye and inspired a famous cartoon character…
