Hi, saw this guy the other day, but can't catch him. Less than a centimeter at the moment.

Found a mold few days later :

I tried to ID him but can't found something that does really match

Looks bad ?

I read that anything with black tips on their claws is not reef safe

I am not an expert by any means, but given the black-tip claws, the carapace shape and what looks to be hair in the close up picture of the molt , it maybe in the Xanthidae family; a gorilla crab. My understanding is they are bad news. Any experts out there that can verify this?

Here are 3 pictures I found:

Ho god, the hunt is open

Well, that was quick... I found him dead today (not a molt)... This is... Weird ? Why did he died ? I removed a lot of alguea yesterday and a lot was in suspension in the water, could be that ?

Everything looks fine, just a perpermint shrimp is acting weird (slow/not reactive) since few days.

The redsea test is NH3/NH4 sorry, didn't specify that
