Hello all,
I have had these in my tank for a while (6 months on a 7 month old tank). But they are growing faster than expected. Still slow but worrisome. I don’t know my thoughts on them They look like limpets but they don’t move.
I don’t know what their purpose in life is?

If something doesnt move then food must be coming to it so a filter feeder but in blue lights it just looks like a blue fuzzy circular thing

It’s white. But otherwise yes. It must be a filter feeder. It’s like a barnacle with not mouth. I don’t mind it since it’s so pointless. But they do multiply rather fast. Like I don’t want 4000 of them and there’s likely like 500 now. It’s a 240g. I’d also have to figure out a fish that East clams and not shrimp. Lol

Spinoid worms. I have them too. Apparently they are fine as they are just filter feeders but mine have gotten a little crazy in the tank, probably due to overfeeding.

Biggest problem with them is they are a tad unsightly, but they shouldn’t be causing any issues.

Do you have snails? Nerite snails?
I do but these don’t move.

They aren’t these worms. I’ve had those and they are not fun. I have a couple in the tank and I hope they don’t take off because they make the rock all Prickly.

still not sure.

They are eggs. They won’t move. They will remain like that until conditions are optimal for hatching.

I have them, that’s how I know.

Spirorbid Worms - sorry I think I spelled it wrong the first time. I’d look up some pics. Looks pretty similar to me tbh. Good luck either way!

These are the ones. Thanks. I will do some research
