Snail poop =P
This! I just searched on tiny white rods in saltwater tank and your photo popped up! Fantastic to know my snails are not only laying eggs all over the place ( including on the shells of other snails) but they are also pooping everywhere . What a relief (pun intended).Like the tittle says, what are these little white "rod" looking things that just popped up on my live rock?

Good to know! Pooper scooper duty added to my maintenance scheduleI second the poop comments but I will suggest in adding a sea cucumber &/or serpent sea star to consume the poop. The snail poop is high on phosphorus & will build up your PO4s to the point of introducing hair algae. A daily solution is the cucumber or serpent but those critters should not replace weekly or biweekly manual removal of animal waste from the system. Think of the poop as fertilizer for nuisance algae. Syphoning out or blowing it off of rock & sand will save you from a massive headache in the future.
