Little white spikes

Anyone got an idea what this is… hard to get a photo of. I don’t believe they are snails this rock does have an infestation of them pulled it out and crushed them today. But these are in much much larger numbers way smaller and are soft when I scrape them.

Do vermitide snails start out soft and squishy because u can scrape these off the rock and they almost have the consistency of sponges. And they do not have any spiraling shell attaching to the rock. Maybe early stages of the snail. And can they come in at such high rates? There’s hundreds of them. I curious if you even looked at the photos
