Little worms like bugs in my tank

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me out. Recently I discovered these little worm bug like things in my sand and on my corals I was wondering if someone could help identify them. It’s hard to see but it was the best I could get and my videos won’t upload.

Can’t see the video on mobile but they look like run of the mill pods to me. You’re rocks are looking a bit slimey...is that normal for your tank?

It’s normal my tank is still really new just 2 months old I was told it was diatoms from my LFS.

Your Tank looks very new and with the hammer/torch that is not looking good, might be something eating it. Do you have peppermint shrimp in there?

Your torch may struggle with being in a new tank. The pods will eat the decaying matter but no harm living tissue.

The light were off for a few hours before I turned it on for the picture here what it looks like open

Ok sounds good and it’s been ok so far the lights were off and I turned them in for the pics.

Oh, that’s a frogspawn instead of a torch. What folks were noticing was the tissue coverage around the skeleton. When the tissue is receding it’s a sign of deteriorating health.

It’s normal for them to be receding at night-if it looks like that open, it’s fine.
Most people try not to put coral in brand new tanks but I’ve pushed the envelope in the past and most the time works out.
Granted, exposed skeleton is never good so...be careful. If you push the envelope on corals just expect to lose some of them.
