Live brine shrimp in tank?

When I was feeding my tank with rod's I noticed an adult brine shrimp swimming around in the tank even though I hadn't fed brine shrimp in a month.

Is it possible for it to survive that long?

Sure as long as nothing eats it. If you don't mind the eggs shells, throw a few in the tank or sump and see if you can get a batch going.
