I am new to the hobby and have always bought prepared foods. I have a hedgehog and I started culturing meal worms quite easily with great success to help feed her. I was wondering what foods do you hobbyists culture? I have seen a lot about phytoplankton and pods, which is something I plan to do eventually as a Mandarin is on my most wanted list. I would love to get some feedback on positive or negative results you guys have had. Look forward to hearing from you fellow experimentists.

You can grow all kinds of things. From green water (Phyto), Rotifers, C-pods, A-Pods, White and Black worms. These all feed tank inhabitants. Search for those items here and youtube and you will find plenty of "how to" info.
