How does concentrate work? Is it basically just phyto not mixed with any saltwater? Just crazy to think same amount of phyto is in a couple drops that’s in the normal 8-16oz bottle I typically add but would definitely love to dose less.

It still has saltwater in it, just a lot less lol. It is run through a centrifuge to consolidate it. I have been dosing to my system for 2 months now and it's nice having a small dropper over my normal 16 oz bottles in the fridge.

Yeah it’s a lot of math lol but if you dumped this bottle into a 32 container and then just adjusted the dosing to mls it would be the same.

What is the shelf life, and how would one store the bottles? TY!

You would store them in the fridge and shake them daily. The ones I use to test have been ongoing for 2 months following the daily shaking. I just sampled a batch that has been in a -20 freezer for a month (second photo) and all of the cells are still intact. I am in the process of growing a culture from a frozen sample and everything seems t be going great so far.

More than happy to. So concentrate by definition is the removal of water or liquid to increase the solutions density per volume. So I will take my live phytoplankton solutions from harvest, throw it in a centrifuge and watch as the phytoplankton collect at the bottom.
I gather that solution and throw it in a vial for one last centrifuge rotation and then pipet it into my dropped bottle. Clearly the vial isn’t enough to fill the solution so I then top it off with fresh non centrifuged live phytoplankton to give it water to still I’ve as well as enough to make the liquid solution easy to be sucked into the dropped without clogging.

Even better, I was able to start a culture from the concentrate a week later. Has success seeing live cells with a 1 month frozen sample too.
