will live rock typically not show nitrite or nitrate but just a little ammonia from some die off?

Does the tank stink, or look cloudy?

Are you using an API test?

Die off may show a little ammonia but that should become NO2 and NO3 fairly quickly, so I'm guessing API test kit difficult to interpret color results?

LFS didn't have yellow egg reagents and had to order more so using up the API till it gets here. it was at .05 after 7 days. (seachem badge said same). 10% change with addition of Arag Fiji then after 24 hours did another 5 gal once cloud settled. reads .025 with badge at .02. Was heading away for a few days so wondering if I should do another change before I go or leave it.
