Live rock become black

Hello e everyone, im new here. I have a question, why my live rock become black? I let my live rock submerged in sea water outside the aquarium for a few days without an aerator. So how does live rock come back purple? Is it safe to live black rock during cycling? Thanks

Most of the purple coralline probably died, but the rock still has some specks of purple and green. What you're seeing is most likely the base rock. BTW, what part of Indonesia are you in?

yes it can grow again, though it might take several months for it to fully cover the rocks again. nice to meet you too!
