I never really paid attention to the natural rock color with the lights off. I assume it’s normal but the green is crazy predominate. The pinkish purple spots are normal I assume.
does this look normal to you guys? Anything I should be addressing?
also I have a tonne of the pick purple calcification on my jets. Does that mean something is out of balance? Sorry two question in one thread.

Live rock?
That does not look like live rock from the sea but have been grown.
Live rock is typically covered in purple coraline algae.
Here is my live rock and dry rock.
No it is dry rock. Not live rock.
so sounds like it’s healthy.

No do you blow the detritus and marine snow off your rock often with a turkey baster or pump or powerhead? Lol. You keep them clean of material.

Occasionally. Not often. Thankfully the rocks are staying clean. My sand on the other hand grows a terrible brownish red velvety coat everyday.
dies off when the lights go. And come back with a vengeance when the come
Back on. No idea how to get rid of it.

Its not blue green algae or normal. Its either calothrix if slimy but you said it does not blow off in which it may be wiry algae which will have to be scrubbed off, but both ninja star snails and pin cushion urchins as well as chiton snails will eat this stuff.

Looks like perfectly healthy and growing rock to me. The algaes are normal. The purple is coraline (signs of a healthy maturing tank)
The green is very likely coraline as well. As for it being on your outflow jets, it will grow on just about any surface.
Looks like a normal new-ish tank going through the maturation process :)

It's blue-green. Lol. Comes after diatom.
To the op the stuff that comes and goes away will eventually most likely go away for good one day. Sounds like diatom to me.
