hi all, my live rock was initially tan with some pink coraline algae forming. i was out of state for 1.5 weeks and after coming back home i saw the live rocks with this color and coraline is slowly fading. too much light intensity? or can a green mushroom coral cause this if getting too much light.

It will grow over everything!!
As mentioned above, it's the biology of your tank showing its doing it thing.
In time things won't seem so dramatic, but Diatoms are an inevitability in every tank.
A decent clean up crew will help, and so will a good algae scraper for the glass..
