I was wondering if anyone knew of somewhere either online or in the Northeast PA area to get good deals on live rock. My LFS's are selling it between 8-10 a lb which I would rather not pay that much. Or if anybody has some locally that they are looking to get rid of that would be great. I can pretty much make anything work.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Not from PA but I've had great luck with craigslist and my local reef club. Anywhere from 1-3$ per lb usually. Right now there's someone selling 200+ lbs from boston reefers for $160 if you feel like taking a 4-5 hour ride.

That's about the going rate unless u scour Craigslist but then u have no idea what was on those rocks could be a nuclear bomb waiting to go off in ur tank.

U could by dry live rock and sees it to make it live cheaper then 8-10 dollars with the benifit of knowing ur rocks are clean

I haven't started the tank yet. I am probably about 2 weeks away from water. I just have to finish up a couple odds and ends. If I purchased dry rock, could I put it right and let it cycle with the water? And if I did that, what would I have to look out for with potential problems?

I actually only need about 50-60lbs so that would be way too much.

Phosphates leaking and a longer cycle but other then that nothing
