Live rock dilemma.

Ok. I guess I will get some of the real stuff flown in then.
Another question...
So, I get some flown in and assume I will have some for-off in transport.
Am I better off curing in a barrel without light?
Or should I put it directly into the tank and let the whole thing cycle?
Wondering if the curing process would kill off any beneficial hitchhikers?

Is that air freighted to Montana? Are you planning the live rock special deal from Salty Bottom? It looks like a mix of premium and base. I think you would be happy with that. That price is hard to beat, just over $5 a lbs if that does include the shipping for 55 lbs.

Yeah, that's the idea. Talked to them last week and they were 1-2w from being ready to ship. They said ~$1/lb extra to have it shipped submerged.

Good live rock is the foundation of your tank, so I’d go with the TB rock. You should have very little die off and can add livestock day one. I would skim wet for the first week or so.
