Hello, I had a velvet outbreak in my small 10 gallon nano reef tank and I want to add some liverocks to my 2nd main tank. There was no fish for 7 weeks. I did add a Emerald Crab 3 weeks ago. Is 7 weeks sufficent? Cause I do not want velvet in my 2nd DT. I’m scared that the emerald crab could have introduce something like ich. But my LFS keeps inverts in separate tanks. am I okay to add my live rock back?

Also I just noticed I misspelled the title it’s sufficent not diffident

6 weeks is the fallow period for velvet. So you should be good with the rock. Ich fallow period is 76 days.

The crab will also need a 6 week fallow as tomonts can encyst upon the shell of a crab. Or until the first molt is observed.

So I stil have 3 more weeks to go.
