Live rock getting green spots???

I actually didn't know what it was. Either way I like it cuz it gives color to my rock and tank

Yup, looks good when it gets going. Only problem is when it gets on the glass, ya gotta scrape it off, it doesn't wipe off.

Yeah I was just doing that not to long ago...I have to get a scraper

Ya, no worries on the rock spread. Its when it gets to much on the powerheads and the glass that makes you pull your hair out.

Madness you said coralline algae is fine, that the only problem is its a pain in the *** to scrape off correct?!

It's calcium based so is really hard to scrap off the glass if it gets a good hold. It is great though and really a good thing to have. It helps glue your aquascape together better....it covers up the frag plugs making them fit in better.
Keeping it off the glass and out of your power heads can be the down side.

The reason I ask is cuz my clownfish died and I'm trying I find out why. I'm new to this so idk a whole lot. Was wondering if any of the following pics help....

In all of these pics I'm asking about the coloration I'm the rocks and in the sand which I hAve never seen

The color on your rocks looks very normal...the purple on the sand looks like a small cyano bacteria bloom.
What are your nitrates?
Regardless none of that would kill a healthy clown or any other fish for that matter.
