Help me ID this? Snail/worm/something else?

I recently purchased some live rock for a new tank and I've found an interesting looking critter hiding in one of the holes in the LR.

My questions are what is this thing? Is this being safe for seahorses, and is it safe in a reef environment?

What I can tell you is that this snail/worm/thing never leaves it's hole, and it doesn't seem to care for light. It has tentacle/bristly looking things that it can retract and pull back inside itself (I've shown a picture of both with and without them).
