Live rock in fuge

I got a hob refugium , put in live sand, rock rubble, cheato ball, a tunex submersible light. My question is , is it ok to have the light on the live rock or does it need to be away from the light? Does it matter as far as effectiveness?

If your concern is for the bacteria that you want on the rocks, I don't think the light is an issue. Unless you mean the actual light (as in the bulb or fixture) is touching the rock. Then the heat could be an issue.
