any decent places to buy LR in Huntsville?
with CRA gone, i don't know of any place to buy nice rock. i could drive down to Cullman a see Jason, but with gas over $4.00 a gallon (can only run premium in my car) that gets pricey quickly.
i'm going to need about 20# if anyone is selling some.

Doesn't Mike_dani sell them?

You can use dry Eco Rocks or dead aragonite rocks and seed them with just a few pounds of live rocks unless you want the appearance of coraline covered live rocks right away.

i don't mind seeding them. i'm going to seed the sand also. i just need somewhere to buy it. lol
i have always preferred to buy rock locally, because i can see if before i buy it.

If they don't have anything, and you don't want to be ***** by local prices, talk to John at reefcleaners.org. His dry rock is lovely and a great price.

I have used dry rock from Marco in the past and was very satisfied with the product, price, and service. Very porous, honeycombed rock. Be aware that you will need to cycle it for a while. Even though it comes from a terrestrial source, there is still enough organic matter in it to cause a mini-cycle if you put it straight into your tank.
