i recently brought some dry dead rock and it looks like pukani rock, its very porous and i would love to use in my new sps dominated 50 gallon tank . i want to break up some of it and cure it. would bleaching it be sufficient to get rid of the organics and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Pics? The condition of the rocks will determine what you should do.
I have bleached rocks before and used vinegar (separately from the bleach bath) and some I just power washed with tap water and dried in the sun.

i will pm some pics of the rock when i get home. i was thinking about doing that too. bleaching it for seven days then power wash with hot tap and then soak it in rodi with dechlorinate for another seven days

i have one live rock out fo the few i bought that is an algae magnet. i wonder if it's pukani.
