Hi everyone!
I'm been reading other threads on this but was getting a lot of different opinions. Hoping the knowledge here can help me with my specific concerns.

So I'm currently curing my 60 pounds or pukani live rock in a 32 gallons brute trash can with a 150 watt heater (set at 78, thermometer show 76.8) with a 1500 gph powerhead aiming downward.

My questions are firstly is this setup appropriate?
How often show I test parameters?
How often show I change water? And how much?
I read a lot about acid baths and other ways, time is literally not a factor. I can be as patient as I need. My end goal is setting this tank to become a 5-10 year tank so slow and steady is my goal, while utilising resources like this community for maximum success. :)

Any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated.

Test once a week just before you do a water change weekly. I would do a 20% water change. As you said slow and steady work best.
