What's up guys. I have about 20 - 30lbs of rock from my 75 gallon that I didn't use. I cured it last year after letting it sit outside for about a month. I had all intentions on rescaping my 60 cube with it but never did. It's been sitting in a bucket filled with saltwater since then. I just got a nano tank that's cycling as I type. My question is, should I cure it again or just throw some in the nano now.

Has the water been moving? Temperature controlled? Fed at all?

That would help know if it is still bacteria laden, and good to go. Either way, you could put it in the Nano, as long as there is nothing in the nano yet. It might cycle, it might have a mini cycle, or, if you're lucky, it will not do either.

I'd change the water, put a powerhead in there and let it run for a bit. Maybe do it a couple of times, just to get fresh saltwater exposed to the rocks before placing them in the tank. Cheers!

No water movement or heater for quite some time. I have a few rocks in the nano but it's only been filled for 2 days. No nitrite yet.

When I bought the tank the guy had left the sand and the three bigger rocks in it but everything was dried out. I rinsed the sand then filled it up. The small piece is a rock from my other tank to help speed things up.
