So I have a huge outbreak of what I believe are colonial hydroids. Their the fuzzy white ones and while they don't seem to be disturbing anything their a bit unsightly. Couple questions:
1) are these particular hydroids dangerous for my system? Pics will follow
2) if so I believe replacing my live rock is my only recourse and if I do that and my tank needs to cycle again can my Mandarin handle that?

These hydroids have overrun my live rock but am hoping their relatively harmless as they don't seem to disturb my corals or fish. Glad it's not the brown ones I've heard of
