I placed an order for 45 lbs of live rock which was supposed to be shipped in two days and delivered yesterday (11/27). Now, due to the holiday, it is being delayed and sitting at a FedEx site until tomorrow (11/29). Is the rock even worth keeping or should I just demand a replacement order? I assume that there would be a lot more die off since the amount of time that it is sitting in boxes will be doubled. Live rock isn't cheap.....I feel like I am paying a lot of money for half the rock I should be getting.

Hard to say, but there will be more die off with it taking extra time to ship. Personally would ship rock overnight and wouldn't even try to order rock or live stock online this time of year.

I'd set up a tank to cure it. Contact the vendor you got it from and see what they can do for you. Maybe they will give you some credit for it. Yes, you paid for live rock, but once you get it colonized, it will once again be live. I ordered live rock once online, and was disappointed. It was broken into smaller pieces and was not what I was expecting overall. But, it cost less. I have no problem ordering fish and corals online, because it is WYSIWYG. That's not usually the case with live rock.
