I have a piece of LR, there's a nasty worm living in it, I was curious if I could soak it in distilled water and will the worm come out? Also will just leaving it out of the water for a little bit force the worm to vacate?

As long as you don’t mind killing all the beneficial bacteria soaking in distilled water should kill it and or vacating it

I don't mind, because I have 20lbs of Tampa Bay Saltwater LR in there, I had to split one to remove a nasty worm, had to catch a gorilla crab, found a couple more and so far there's one more that wont show himself, but I'll get him.

So if I do decide to soak it, how long before it goes back in the tank?

Try hypersalinity. Won't hurt anything but most worms and crabs will leave the rock.

Naw !!! Open it up , split the rock , grab his neck and wring the c—p out of him lol!!! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:. Kidding !!!
