If i get a live rock from my LFS established tank. And a bottle of ammonia. Is that a good way to cycle my tank?

The bacteria has already colonized the rock...the reason you cycle dry rock is to build a population of bacteria...the bacteria on the live rock will have food when you add fish
Yes but what if i dont want fish right away and i want to finish cycling the tank fully with the live rock?. How do i feed the bacteria.

With the sterile fresh saltwater. U will have some die off and what we call a mini cycle or a 24hr over night cycle.
With live rock you don't need to cycle.
