Alright been putting off asking but I'm hard to find an answer somehow online.

I have a piece of LR to seed my dry rock in my DT.
The LR is in QT from a LFS that I trust but I "dont really trust anyone". How long should I QT the LR befor putting in my DT. My DT is cycled but doesnt have any fish in it. I dont plan on putting fish in for at least 60 or more days. I have Fish in QT as well in a separate tank. My DT has sand in it so I thought it would be easier to QT the LR by itself.

Why is the rock in Quarantine? If you worried about unwanted critters you can put it in a bucket of high salinity water 1.035 to 1.040 (Specific gravity) that will make them leave the rock. Otherwise I would put it in your tank.

I guess it depends on the live rock. Was it fully cured? Did it transport for hours? Are you concerned about pests?

Its fully cured. LFS is only 1/2 Hour away. I'm concerned about best. I just dont know how long is long enough and safe.

Just wanted to prevent any unwanted pest.

Fish only tank? Could Aptaisia survive the high salinity? Aptaisia is sneaky

I think you are fine to put in the tank. FO system allows you to treat if something pops up. Honestly, to be absolutely sure of no parasites on the rock, 76 days is necessary as per the fallow period. Just saying.

They are sneaky I had some Florida rock being cycled, I never saw them until I put the rocks into my sump and then they showed up. I ended up throwing the rock away.
