Live rock turning dark red

It’s weird burgundy color and spreading. Tank is almost 4 years old. Parameters in check.

Can it be removed? It looks like a blanket of some sort of diatom, or something that is a film. Just from the photo.
I did just try to brush it of and it does brush off so I’ll just clean and do a water change. I have had cyano since the beginning but kept it in check. I used algaefix a month ago and it did something to the cyano. Thanks for your response.
 
Looks like coraline and cyano. Using a turkey baster, if you can bow the red stuff off, may be cyano.
Assure your nitrate and phosphate level has not become elevated.
Are you using RODI water or tap water from the faucet ?

Yeah. I would just do a water change and try and remove as much as I could and blast the rockwork for a good cleaning. Might just be a buildup that needs a good cleaning. I have had it before as well and it doesn't seem to hurt anything.
