Okay well my friends started a tank 5 months ago and he was wondering y his live rock is turning green he says that it's only the top of the rocks and a little bit on the side basically where the light hits??? He says that there are tiny spots of purple here and there but manly bright green he wants to know if its bad or good ( honestly I have no idea lol)

The spots of purple are probably coraline algae, which is good. The bright green could be coraline also, but pictures are needed.

haha! beat me to it! I agree with Reefing madness :)

It is normal. Coraline is also most people desire on their rocks.

Yes without pictures we are all guessing.
Where the light shines... maybe algae!

But this is a guess.
