i placed the live rock in my aquarium 2 days ago and i am noticing red spiky things starting to grow all over them...too small to get a picture but growing a little bigger every day...any idea what it might be..and is it good or bad?

i have a purple rock that is starting to look like that...it isn't mushrooms...what i have is a little small to make it out but it is like a very tiny palish red...little spikes on it..it is coming out all over the rocks but it stands alone like a little tree...

this is beautiful...i have one rock that is covered in something like this...it is a very pale purple right now..it looks like it was poked with pin holes and it covers the whole rock...very tight to the rock..like a deer antlers when they have new velvet on them.
