Alright I'm looking for live rock. I don't really know how much I need though. If you were setting up a 120g tank how much would you use?

Totally depends on how you want to aquascape it. I would figure that out first.
With todays filtration methods available, the old standby of "build a rock wall using 2 lbs per gallon" thing is kinda outdated.
I've seen 200g tanks with 50 lbs of rock. Real minimalist aquascaping.
Plus there is some really dense rock out there and some really light rock... just to make it more confusing. ;)

Haha yeah I know that's the problem I don't really know which is heavy and which is light.

I would like to have enough rock to build a rockscape with plenty of caves and pass throughs the fish can swim through. Not so much of a solid rock wall, but a Swiss cheese rock mound.

You could do the 2 island scape. Leaves alot of room for fish to swim.
