It's best to start off with 10% water change weekly then slowly back off to monthly....I personally have a 55 gallon which I only do a water change maybe once a month or two months....mainly when it needs it...but if you supplement your tank, I think you don't need to do water changes....that's my personal opinion though....

Ok great I have 450 litre tank but I want to buy the roi water instead of doin it myself as it's just to much work . So if wanted to know how much to buy at once . Can I leave water in bucket for a period of time will the water go stale

It will if it is not circulated and kept at decent temp....so just a cheap heater and powerhead would do the trick. And it's really not that hard to do it yourself...you can buy units on eBay for cheap and then just replace the filters when needed

So if the water is constantly moving will be ok . I'm gonna buy a brute container fill it up and just leave the water with powerhead and heater and just take when I need it. Once I have a lot can I do the salt or is that best to add sort when I do the water change. Basically when I store the roi water can I mix the salt and leave there till I need it and jus add it to the tank . I hope I'm making sense lol. Thank u for ur help u have been most helpful

U should be fine....just don't let the water come in contact with sunlight or it was start the algae growth and it will become wasted water

Na it won't be it will be in. Room out of sunlight . So water change 10% weekly?

That's what I would start off with.....the main goal for water changes is to supply the need of alkalinity, phosphates etc. In check...they should start to become more stable as time goes on to the point of not needing to do a water change....it's the suplemnets that are in the salt that need to stablaize...by doing water changes, your taking old water out, and replacing those trace elements as well as get rid of ammonia, and nitrates ect.
