I got my 90ish gallon cube tank from Marine Ecological Habitats and am just waiting for the cabinet I'll be modifying to use as a stand to come in before I can start setting this puppy up. I'm thinking of going with live rock instead of dry like I have in the past. Risk/benefits are pretty straight forward. I'm curious if anyone has dealt with gulfliverock.com. They seem the most reasonable for shipping somewhat cured live rock. I'll be honest most of what I see sold as "live" rock is anything but. It maybe already colonized by bacteria but it's stored in unlit tubs/tanks for so long to "cure" it that there really isn't much left on it. I like the idea of getting sponges etc... as hitchhikers that could add to the diversity of the system. Of course bad hitchhikers are a possibility but I'm ok with that. I've heard good things about Tampa bay saltwater but shipping liverock in water means crazy high shipping fees. Gulfliverock seemed like a decent compromise. I could just go dead rock from reefrock.net as in the past but it would be nice to have some nice color etc... out of the gate.
