I’m buying a reef ready 90 gallon tank that has a ton of live rock. The tank has been running and heated but no fish for last couple of months. Does this need to be cured or will it hold as live rock

Had the rock been kept wet? Any other inhabitants that could have provided the bacteria with a food source?

Agreed, if the rocks been kept wet you should be good to go :) you might get some die off during the transfer but shouldnt have to recure it :)
