Live Rock

Just wondering if it’s ok to use someone else’s live rock? Should you clean it or boil it first? You never know what it has.

you kinda answered your own question. I have used "someone else's rock" about 5 times now, and have had nothing but positive outcomes, but you are certainly taking a chance of introducing ??????

To me, that is half the fun. I TBS package because I didn't want a sterile environment and was cool to see the diversity of life

Does the tank you are getting it from have a problem with those things?

My understanding is those ailments can only live so long without hosts. You could QT it for the fallow period then introduce.

But I am a horrible one to take advice from on QT because I do not do it.

wesman42 is right. Do not boil! Very dangerous and that is not what is meant by cooking.
