does anybody know how much live rock i need for a 36 gallon reef tank? im going to have a baby snowflake eel, 2 clown fish and maybe a few smaller ones to begin with. :xd:

I would start with about 30 lbs and then go from there, you may want to add a little more than that but not much.

+1. IMO, about a pound or so per gallon to start. I just removed about 25 pounds from my 125 which had too much (about 150). I might be removing more just to add more swimming room.

1-1.5 lbs per gallon is what I learned when started. Keep in mind some rocks are more dense and thus heavier than others which are porous.

I would need to know your source rock first, Live aquaria I would go with the 36lb box, tampa bay saltwater maybe 40 lbs (it is dense), BRS pukani 20lbs tops.
